Naxalites on Monday forcibly took away Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in five polling booths in Bijapur assembly constituency in naxal-infested Bastar district in Chhattisgarh.
The incident occurred before the commencement of the polling, state Election Commission said in Raipur.

Besides the EVMs, the naxalites also took away some polling material, it said.
