The charges against three other accused including the main accused Gaurav Shukla would be framed in the Juvenile Court. Gaurav and others had produced documents claiming themselves to be juvenile when they had surrendered in court.

Earlier in the day, the case came up for hearing before the district judge (DJ) and he transferred the case to Court No. 11 of ADJ Sushila Singh.

Additional District Government Counsel (ADGC) Keshav Kumar, in charge of prosecution, said the charges against three accused—Bhartendu Mishra, Aman Bakshi and Faizan—would be framed in the sessions court while the same would be decided against the rest of the three in the Juvenile Court. He further said another accused Faizan had appeared in court adding that two of the accused, Bhartendu and Aman, did not appear in court and the application filed by their lawyer in favour of the duo was rejected on grounds of “baseless reasons”. The ADJ, therefore, issued the non-bailable warrants against the duo for not appearing in court.

The ADJ has fixed next hearing in the case on May 9 with a strict directives to produce the two of the accused before the court then.
