Ending weeks of suspense, ruling National Conference today decided to field its president Farooq Abdullah from prestigious Srinagar Lok Sabha seat, even as he remained undecided to contest the polls, slated to be held on May seven in the fourth phase of elections, party sources said.

The party, however, also nominated another party candidate -- Salman Sagar, Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation -- for the seat, Farooq Abdullah told reporters at the end of three-day consultations with party leaders here today.
