MEMBERS OF North Central Railway Men’s Union (NCRMU) Allahabad division held a demonstration in front of the office of the divisional railway manager (DRM) on Monday, in protest against non-settlement of their pending demands.

The demands include non-payment of interim relief and no recruitments on vacant posts, specially in safety category. The protest was supported by All India Railway Men’s Federation.
At the meeting held on the occasion, president of NCRMU and assistant general secretary of All India Railway Men’s Federation Shiv Gopal Mishra expressed concern over non-fulfillment of the employees’ demands.
He said if the government did not take immediate action in regard to payment of interim relief to the employees, the union would launch an agitation.
“Anti-labour policies of the government need a strong protest,” said Mishra.
Earlier, the members took out a procession from Civil Lines side of Allahabad Junction Railway Station which culminated at the DRM’s office. The procession was led by divisional secretary of the Union SK Mishra.
