“From a group of 23 parties in 1998, the NDA has been reduced to just seven now,” All India Congress Committee spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi told newspersons in Hyderabad.

Replying to a question, he said both BJP and the Congress had problems with their partners in NDA and UPA. But there is a fundamental difference. In case of UPA, there is no difference on philosophy, thought and thinking. In NDA’s case, the BJP is ruptured and broken permanently since 1998.

“Our (UPA) problem is over seat adjustments, not about ruptured alliance. We accept that we have no agreement with two parties in Bihar and UP on seat adjustments. Non agreement on seats is not the same as rupture of an alliance,” Singhvi said.

“The BJP-led NDA believes only in dividing the country. It flaunts, endorses and promotes the symbols of disunity and divisiveness. Such symbols are Narendra Modi, Varun Gandhi, Praveen Togadia and Vinay Katiyar,” he claimed, adding “How can the NDA ensure security and growth?”
