A gourmet known for entertaining his guests with lavish menu, BJP President M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday likened Congress to salty snacks some people like to taste after eating sweets (NDA).

"After taking 3-4 laddus, some people like to eat some namkeen," Naidu said in his first press conference after NDA's debacle in the Lok Sabha polls.
In tune with the current mood, Naidu's lunch-time media meet on Friday was not followed by a sumptuous South Indian fare unlike in the past and the menu was confined to idlis and vadas.
