"The NDA will come back to power at the Centre with a clear majority," Bharti, clad in her trademark saffron robe, told mediapersons after casting her ballot in her native place which falls in Khajuraho Lok Sabha constituency.

She said: "Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who successfully ran a coalition government and took the country on the path of rapid development, would again assume the mantle of Prime Ministership."

Bharti, however, refused to quantify the number of seats to be bagged by BJP in Madhya Pradesh.

The BJP had won 21 seats in the state in 1999 general elections, leaving remaining eight for the Congress.

The Chief Minister said her government was sincerely working for the development of the state ever since it came to power after the assembly polls in December last.
