New Delhi Television Ltd. (NDTV), one of India's leading electronic media companies, said Friday that it has received the necessary licence to beam its flagship channel NDTV 24x7 to Canada.

The Canadian Radio and Television Commission (CRTC) has granted the licence for the launch of NDTV 24x7, a 24-hour English News channel across Canada, said a statement issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The channel will be beamed through ATN, a publicly listed company that owns and operates six television channels across Canada, added the statement.
New Delhi-headquartered NDTV operates 24-hour Hindi news channel NDTV India and business news channel NDTV Profit, besides NDTV 24x7, in India.
Bharti Tele-Ventures postpones sponsored ADR
Bharti Tele-Ventures, one of India's largest private sector telecom services firms, said Friday it has decided to postpone proposed sponsored American depository rights (ADR) issue due to lack of interest.
The company had announced last year that it would launch sponsored ADR secondary offering of 200 million equity shares.
In a statement issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Bharti Tele-Ventures said the Company has decided not to proceed with the proposed sponsored ADR due to lack of sponsorship interest by most of its principal shareholders.
