THE NON-Conventional Energy Development Agency (NEDA) has got representation in the Planning Commission’s working group set to prepare a draft plan to run the programmes aimed at promoting non-conventional energy , under the 11th Five Year Plan.

According to NEDA director Sanjay Bhoosreddy, the national-level working group will comprise representatives from various Central Government departments and also from States that had done a good job in the field of non-conventional energy. He said the States that had found representation in the 24-member group included Assam, Orissa, Andhra, Maharashtra and Gujarat, apart from UP (NEDA).
