In a press release, Damber Nyopane, state president of the samiti, elucidated on the deteriorating social conditions in Nepal alleged that the king was behaving like a dictator.

The people of Nepal were being suppressed and the freedom of the press was being curbed, he said. Nyopane alleged that though all the democratic nations of the world condemned had the monarch’s deeds, the king was still not moved and continued to procrastinate the election process, thereby posing a serious threat to the democratic set-up of the nation.

Nyopane requested the support of the Indian population to come forward and join the protest being organised in Delhi along with the citizens of Nepal in their quest for establishing a democracy in Nepal.
