NER earns Rs 459.64 cr

NORTH EASTERN Railway (NER) general manager Sukhbir Singh said here on Friday that the NER earned Rs 459.64 crore during the current fiscal. Talking to reporters, he said the railway administration was planning to save fuel. He directed the lower-rung officials to set up a computerised staff grievance cell for employees? welfare.

NORTH EASTERN Railway (NER) general manager Sukhbir Singh said here on Friday that the NER earned Rs 459.64 crore during the current fiscal. Talking to reporters, he said the railway administration was planning to save fuel.

He directed the lower-rung officials to set up a computerised staff grievance cell for employees’ welfare.

He said the NER administration decided to identify 60 stations that would be developed as model stations where all modern facilities, including cyber café, would be available.

Meanwhile, president of Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation Naina Singh handed over a cheque of Rs 10,000 to a victim of burn injuries Sharmistha Tripathi, wife of a railway employee Pramod Mani Tripathi.

She is living in Baulia railway colony in Gorakhpur.

Sharmistha sustained burns, when a fire broke out in her flat recently. Property worth Rs 60,000 was gutted in the incident.
