THE CONGRESS party today remembered the contribution made by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the freedom struggle on his birth anniversary here today.

Congressmen including senior vice-president K K Mishra, former minister Chandraprabhash Shekhar, freedom fighter Vishweshwar Pandey and Rakhabchand Bawel among others garlanded the statue of Netaji and addressed the meeting organised on the occasion.

The speakers said that Netaji and other freedom fighters had given up everything to make the country free, but now protecting that independence was becoming increasingly difficult, as the country was facing enormous challenge from forces of communalism, casteism and other divisive forces.
