Javed of JBCC Lounge in the state capital told HT, “Like everyone, politicians too want a refreshing look. Glowing skin is a sign of healthiness and therefore they go in for several services that help them look radiant and young.”

Politicians like Prakash Pant, Tilak Raj Behad, Suryakant Dhasmana, ND Tiwari, Kunwar Pranav Singh, Mohan Singh Gaonwasi and several others are extremely conscious about healthy skin tone. And why not? It’s not only personality that matters. A pleasant and glowing face can also cast a spell on voters.

So what exactly do our politicos demand? “Facials and skin toning are extremely popular among politicians. Both services take time, yet the politicians get a relaxing experience. Needless to state, they feel rejuvenated after our services,” said Ashok of Cloud 9. Salons offer a wide range of facials and skin toning options that lure politicians. From pearl facial for pearl like radiant skin to natural facial of fruit cream or aloe vera massage for oily skin, they have it all.

Facials and massages not only freshen up the politicos’ faces but also give them time to relax. Taslim Ahmed of Trimax Hairdresser said, “During massage and facials, politicians often switch off their phones to savour the experience. They enjoy these services a lot.”

And how popular are anti-tanning and skin whitening facials among politicians? “Campaigning and outdoor activity take a toll on the skin of politicians. Therefore, they also go for anti-tanning and skin whitening facials. All want to look gora,” a salon worker said, requesting anonymity.
