NETGEAR plans India specific products

NETGEAR is planning to unveil a number of India specific products targeting at the domestic customers in the next few months.

NETGEAR Technologies India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of the $535 million NETGEAR Inc of the US, has decided to spruce up its presence in the country. It is planning to unveil a number of India specific products targeting at the domestic customers in the next few months, while expansion of manpower and marketing is in the pipeline.

Mr Ian McLean, Vice President (Asia Pacific Sales), NETGEAR, said: “Recognizing the strength and potential of India, we are putting greater resources in the Indian market. Aiming at strengthening our presence among the home and medium enterprise market, a couple of new products like Range Max 240 Wireless Products and NETGEAR Smart Stackable Switches could hit the market in the next few months.”

The year 2005 was a very successful year for NETGEAR in India where it has
shown the growth of doubling the revenues over the previous year. The growth
in revenues was achieved by a team of four persons who spread NETGEAR business across the country and the SAARC region, headed by Mr Atul Jain in
North & East and Mr Kerman Rana in West & South. As part of the expansion
plan, NETGEAR Technologies India has recently appointed Mr Yogesh Kumar
Sharma as Country Manager for India & SAARC region.
