Here’s some good news for students who submitted their forms online but were denied admissions to junior colleges because they failed to produce the correct certificates.
Colleges in the city have been asked to maintain a register of all the problems the students faced during admission.
This register will be forwarded to the deputy director of education and the Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL), which is in charge of the online admission process, on Friday.
The authorities will clarify all the doubts as fast as they can and take a decision on whether to consider those students who had submitted invalid certificates for admission.
“Since many were unable to produce valid certificates, they have technically lost out on seats. However, since the state cannot let them remain without admissions, a solution is being worked upon,” said Madhavi Pethe, spokesperson for the online admission committee.
Some colleges have asked students to forward their problems in an application addressed directly to the MKCL while some are sending day-to-day reports.

{{/usCountry}}“The booklet even mentioned the valid authorities by which the certificates should be certified to be valid for students applying in constitutional or social reservations or sports or cultural quotas,” said Pethe.
“Apart from the college registers, students can also submit their problems at the 25 complaint centres in the city,” said V.K. Wankhade, deputy director of education.
“Students who have by mistake added codes of a college that is far away from his/her residence can change the codes, by also sending an application. We will try and resolve all issues within a couple of days,” he added.
The second merit list will be published on July 24.
