Whether it is multi-tasking or future planning, opening a restaurant is popular with our Bollywood stars. Item number wonder Malaika Arora Khan hops on to the bandwagon as she plans to "open a restaurant of my own by the year-end, something which I’ve always wanted to do but couldn’t due to time constraint." It’s a different matter that she can’t cook at all.
While her restaurant is still in the pipeline, Malaika is busy with what she is best at — doing another item number. With her nakhras intact, she refuses to talk about this and says, "You know how the producers are, all I can say is that it’s something worth waiting for." She doesn’t mind being labelled an item number dancer unlike others who go through the practised smart talk of, "I want to do only roles of substance" variety.
She sounds candid when she says: "Acting was never on my mind, except for cameos, perhaps." Besides, there’s some action for Malaika on the small screen too, which she says, "has always been closer to me than the big screen." She is going to be back with the second series of Nach Baliye, the celebrity dance show. "I enjoy dancing. I can’t rate myself as a dancer on a scale of 10, as for me there’s scope even after 10." We do know that.
