NORTH CENTRAL Railways (NCR) has decided to start a daily inter-city train between Lucknow and Allahabad from July 1. The train will replace the Janshatabdi Express train.

This step has been taken following persistent demand of passengers to provide economical travelling between Allahabad and Lucknow.
According to chief PRO of NCR BP Pandey, train number 4201 Inter-city will initially be run on trial basis from July 1.
The train will leave Allahabad at 15.20 hrs and pass through Prayag at 15.33 hrs, Kunda Harnamganj at 16.23 hrs, Unchahar at 16.50 hrs, Rae Bareli at 17.40 hrs, Bachhrawan at 18.20 hrs, Nigoha at 18.43 hrs and finally reach Lucknow at 20.05 hrs.
On the return journey the train number 4210 will start at 7.30 hrs from Lucknow and pass through Nigoha at 8.11 hrs, Bachhrawan at 8.25 hrs, Rae Bareli at 9.11 hrs, Unchahar at 9.58 hrs, Kunda Harnamganj at 10.28 hrs, Prayag at 11.45 hrs and reach Allahabad at 12.05 hrs.
The train will have one AC chair car coach, eight general and two luggage vans for the convenience of passengers.
