Commission SSP Viplav Kumar Choudhary said, “Statement recording will continue for four days. No mediaperson, administrative or police official was allowed during the recording of statements.” The team led by Choudhary comprised of two DSPs MS Yadav and SKS Bansal and three inspectors.

A woman lodged a sexual assault complaint against some policemen, who allegedly raped her. There were many who narrated to the NHRC team how some male members of their families were arrested and languishing in jail. One Bundu Khan alleged that his two sons were arrested, though they had nothing to do with the violence.

Meanwhile, a three-member team of the National Commission for Scheduled Caste (NCSC) also conducted preliminary inquiry in Bhatta and Parsaul villages on Wednesday. The chairman of the commission will visit the villages on Thursday.
