Nigerians held with heroin worth Rs 20 mn

Indian narcotics officials seized over 100 kg of heroin last year from across the country.

Three people, including two Nigerian nationals, were arrested on Thursday and heroin worth Rs 20 million seized from them.

Vector Junior, Mazid Dusi and Jang Bahadur, who belongs to Patiala, were arrested from Dwarka in southwest Delhi.

"The three were part of an international drug cartel. Our officials have recovered over two kg of heroin worth Rs 20 million in the international market," said Alok Kumar, deputy commissioner of police, Special Cell.

In 2006, about 20 Nigerians were arrested in New Delhi on charges of drug peddling and in several cases of cyber crimes.
