Night curfew imposed in Udhampur district

Curfew has been imposed in eight areas of Udhampur district to curtail civilian casualties during counter-insurgency operations.

Night curfew has been imposed in eight areas of Udhampur district for two months to curtail civilian casualties during counter-insurgency operations, officials said on Saturday.

Udhampur's District Magistrate OP Kalandria imposed curfew from 8.00 pm to 5.00 am in eight areas of Reasi sub-division, they said.

The areas where the night curfew are in force are Audan, Chakalsalta, Old Lambi Bari, Hansa Wali Gali, Thakra Kote, Thanpal, Arnas and Chinkha.
