Nine killed in road mishap in Hyderabad

Nine persons, including four women and two children, were killed on Friday after a vehicle in which they were travelling collided head-on with a lorry in the neighbouring Medak district, police said.

Five persons including the auto-driver were killed on the spot while four others died on way to hospital, they said.

"Both the vehicles were driven at high speed," a police officer said.

The victims belong to nearby villages of Toopran mandal. The lorry driver fled the scene soon after the incident and further investigations were on, he said.
