NIT Hamirpur clinch north-zone badminton tourney

NIT, Hamirpur boys won the trophy in the men's section of the north zone inter-technical university badminton championship that concluded on Monday evening defeating Thapur Engineering College, Patiala by 3-1.

NIT, Jalandhar bagged the third place. In the women's section, NIT, Jalandhar blanked Thapar Engineering College by 2-0. NIT, Hamirpur came third. Director of Hamirpur NIT, professor Rajneesh Kumar gave away prizes to the winners and other participant teams. Sixty students of various institutions took part in the championship. While addressing the participants, he urged them to take active part in sports.
