"Kumar has called a meeting with senior state leaders of all the political parties, including ruling NDA allies, chief Opposition RJD, Lok Janshakti Party, Congress and Left, on August 9 on the issue of drought," a senior state public relations official said on Thursday.

The CM, who laid emphasis on fine-tuning the state's contingency plan to provide succour to the farmers in the districts where scanty rainfall had been recorded, has already sent a high-level team led by the state ministers to all the districts to make on-the-spot assessment of the situation.

The ministers will submit their reports to Kumar two days before the all-party meeting, which would also be attended by Chief Secretary Anup Mukherjee and the heads of several departments.
