NMC urges J-K govt to release pending Dearness Allowance

National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) on Tuesday asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to release the pending instalments of the Dearness Allowance (DA) in favour of the employees of the state government.

National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) on Tuesday asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to release the pending instalments of the Dearness Allowance (DA) in favour of the employees of the state government.

"We urge Jammu and Kashmir chief minister (CM) Omar Abdullah to release the two pending instalments of 17 per cent in favour of the state government employees and pensioners before Diwali" NMC president Subash Shastri said.

Shastri urged the government to take the decision in this regard in the next Cabinet meeting.

"Delay in the release of the due DA instalments would not only put financial burden on the state government exchequer, but also increase the difficulties for the employees and pensioners," he said.

Shastri also urged the CM to regularise the services of all employees who have been working with various department of the state government since 1994.

"We appeal the CM to regularise the services of all daily wagers, casual employees, seasonal labourers engaged in various departments of the state government after march 1994," Shastri said.
