The number 3, usually coined to be inauspicious in Hindu religion (teen tigada kaam bigada) surely had an impact on Pramod Mahajan's life and even death.
While knowingly or rather unknowingly, the popular leader was born on October 30, 1949 and surprisingly, battled for 12 days (1+2=3) before succumbing to three bullets, shot by none other than Pravin Mahajan, the third son of Venkatesh Devidas Mahajan their father.
What is interesting to note is that the BJP leader has had three degrees - B Sc (Physics), MA (Pol Sc) and BA (Journalism) and was educated at three places, namely Yogeshwari Mahavidalaya Beed, University of Pune and University of Aurangabad.
Maybe it was fate, that had influenced three in his life so much that when Pramod Mahajan married Rekha, it was the third month of the year, ie March 11, 1972.
Looking back at his professional life indicates that Pramod Mahajan has changed three professions before becoming one of the top leaders of BJP.
He started as the sub-editor of Tarun Bharat in 1970-71 and became a schoolteacher from 1971-74 (three years again) before finally making his decision to work as a full time pracharak for Jana Sangh, Janata Party and finally Bharatiya Janata Party ( Three changes, the original party saw in his life time) since 1974. Now if one adds 1974, we get 1+9+7+4=21=2+1=3.
Cruel as it may seem to many as to how three has influenced Pramod Mahajan's life and death. But then this is how the numbers play their game knowingly or unknowingly. Many would be in a shock to know that during the emergency, the leader was detained in Nasik Road Central Prison from 1975 to 1977, yes, three long years!

For the BJP (three alphabets again) leader, three surely may have taken him to great heights but ultimately, it is three, which ended the era of Pramod Mahajan in the most gruesome way!
