Vishwa Hindu Parishad's vice president Acharya Giriraj Kishore on Thursday released an 11-point "Hindu agenda" focussing on the Ram temple, the Common Civil Code, Article 370 and ban on cow slaughter, and declared that the VHP would only support those candidates who stood by this agenda.

Addressing a press conference, he said the VHP would not extend blanket support to any party. Its activists would be free to support any candidate on the basis of this agenda.

The VHP leader hoped that a grand Ram temple would be constructed at Ayodhya after the title suit was decided by the court, but did not give any categorical assurance that he would accept the court verdict if it went against his wishes.

He also demanded the abrogation of Article 370 that guarantees autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir.
