Apropos of your editorial Home but not alone (June 19), the government has done well to allow child offenders below the age of 18 to stay at home with their families.

Apropos of your editorial Home but not alone (June 19), the government has done well to allow child offenders below the age of 18 to stay at home with their families.
This way, they will be protected from any untoward influence in jails where they would come into contact with hardened criminals.
