The hapless commuters were seen running from one place to another to board the buses.

"Though the new buses will improve the public transport, the city must have proper bus shelters and stops. The shelters should have route information, which will certainly help the people. I am not aware about the bus timings and the stops. As there is no shelter or even a signboard to indicate a stop, I am clueless about where the buses would halt," said Rohit Sharma, a daily commuter.

Building bus shelters is still in planning stage. When contacted, the Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) and the transport department shirked off the responsibility.

Though Huda was supposed to construct the shelters, it said it had floated tenders a few years ago. The city needs at least 50 bus shelters. "There are four bus routes and 10-15 stop points on each route, which are known to all," said Haryana Roadways general manager (Gurgaon) Yashinder Singh.

Huda administrator Praveen Kumar said he will look into the matter.
