Government on Wednesday night termed as "speculative" reports in a section of the media that two persons have been tested positive of bird flu in Navapur.

"Reports appearing in a section of the media that two persons have tested positive for avian influenza are merely speculative," an official release said.

"As of now, that is 8 pm, on February 22, 2006, there is no case of avian influenza," it said.
The release said that twelve people kept in isolation for observation in Navapur were normal.
