The Ahmed family here has not received any communication about the identity of the person who drove the burning vehicle at the Glasgow airport in the failed UK terror plot on June 30, family lawyer Venkatesh said.

"The British authorities have not confirmed as of date even the identity of the person who drove the vehicle as that of being their son Kafeel," he said adding "nor have they informed the family about the death of the man who was undergoing treatment for 90 per cent burns".

"Whatever we have been hearing has been only through the media, there has been no official communication," he said. "Neither has the UK police nor has the Indian High Commission communicated any information to the Ahmed family," Venkatesh said.

"The British police are seized of the entire matter and should have informed the family if the identity of the person who drove the burning vehicle was proved that of Kafeel Ahmed, their son, as well as that of his death," he said.

"How can we react, when we have no official communication," Venkatesh said.
