The government on Wednesday said there are no indications that suggests Naxals in Chhattisgarh are forcing the people to cultivate marijuana and opium to earn money.

"There is no input to indicate that Naxalites in Chhattisgarh are forcing people to cultivate marijuana and opium in protected areas of their influence to earn money," Minister of State for Home Ajay Maken said in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.
