No fleet taxis are to be found waiting at the airport to pick up passengers and there is no hotline to call them.

Following agitations by regular taximen, fleet taxis stopped operating from the domestic airport on Monday. “We are shutting operations at the airport till the matter is resolved,” said a Meru spokesperson.

“We wait for passengers for up to six hours, but [fleet taxis] take away our customers,” said Guddu Singh, president, Mumbai Airport Taxi Union. “A meeting took place with the traffic police... the police agreed to remove the hotline.”

On Monday, cool cabs and regular taxi drivers seized parking spaces for fleet taxis at the airport.
