Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee says there is no need for future generations to remember him.

In an interview when he was asked how he wanted the future generations to remember him, the Prime Minister riposted: "No need to remember (me)".
He was also silent on what kind of legacy he wanted to leave behind as Prime Minister in the light of Time magazine saying that it was his obsession with legacy that had made him take the peace gamble with Pakistan.
At another point when he was asked whether there will be a solution to the dragging Kashmir issue in his lifetime, Vajpayee, 79, asked: "Who knows when my call would come?"
He then asked a counter-question: "What do you mean by solution? Maybe things would carry on like this. You seem to be in a hurry (for a solution)."
