The DMK on Monday ruled out going back to the NDA and said the Congress-led alliance would come to power at the Centre.
"Let me make it very clear, we are confident that the Congress alliance will come to power (at the Centre). So there will be no question of going (back) to NDA," Dayanidhi Maran, senior DMK leader and son of former Union Minister Murasoli Maran said here.
DMK, which fought 1999 General Elections in alliance with BJP, is contesting this Lok Sabha polls with Congress and PMK.
"We are very confident (of Congress-alliance victory at the Centre)," he said.
Maran's statement assumes significance in light of speculation that DMK might go back to NDA, from which it had parted ways last year after BJP started "hobnobbing" with AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa.
He also claimed of sweeping the polls in Tamil Nadu by winning all 40 seats.
"We are very very confident, people are very clear and (their) mandate will also be clear. (DMK-PMK-Congress) alliance will win. In Tamil Nadu, we are willing on all 40 seats," Maran added.
