Homebuyers on Saturday held a protest rally here. The investors, who want resumption of realty projects in Noida Extension, are demanding an early approval of master plan 2021 from Delhi's NCR Planning Board (NCRPB).
In October, the Allahabad HC had ruled that construction in Noida Extenstion would remain halted till Greater Noida's master plan 2021 was approved by NCRPB. Hundreds of flat owners under the aegis of Noida Extension Flat Owners Members Association (NEFOMA) gathered at Sector 15 Metro station and took out a rally. "We've decided to write to the Union ministry to speed up the NCRPB approval process. We will launch a 'jail bharo' agitation from January, if the crisis is not resolved," said a member of NEFOMA.
Meanwhile, another buyers' group, Noida Extension Flat Buyers Welfare Association, wrote to NCRPB, seeking an early approval of the master plan.
Relief cheques
Noida and Greater Noida authorities on Saturday distributed compensation cheques worth Rs12 crore. "Noida authority paid Rs4 crore towards hiked relief to farmers of Chhaproli on Saturday," said Harnam Singh, additional district magistrate (land & acquisition).
