The police on Monday arrested 136 people and charged 63 of them with murdering Lalit Kishore Choudhary, CEO of Italian company Graziano Transmissioni Private Limited. Choudhary was beaten to death on Monday allegedly by a mob of sacked employees of the company.
Choudary’s relatives and the company had alleged that the police arrived after the mob fled. The administration confirmed delay on the part of the local police staff. “Bisrakh SHO Jagmohan Sharma has been suspended for dereliction of duty as there was delay in police team reaching the Graziano company,” said Superintendent of Police (Greater Noida) Babu Ram.”
But Choudhary’s family alleged it was a planned murder and the local police’s involvement must be probed. His elder brother GK Choudhary said, “There appeared to be a deal between police and workers. It seems the workers were given time to vandalise. The police came much later and booked both sides for rioting.”

{{/usCountry}}“The incident is all the more worrying as the Italian company Graziano Transmissioni, after many successful years, had been facing several months of violent forms of protests by self-proclaimed workers representatives,” it said.
The corporate world also reacted with shock and anger. “Such a heinous act is bound to sully India's image among overseas investors and deserves utmost condemnation," said industry body FICCI.
