The 'Connect' programme would be rolled out on a 'national' level in 9 Indian languages.

The company release said, it would help the consumers to use various features and applications available in Nokia phones.

As part of this programme, the company would also provide quick guides on popular mobile technology areas such as SMS, MMS, Bluetooth and infrared , E-mail and GRPS and EDGE. These guides would be available in 9 Indian languages apart from English, including Hindi, Marathi, Gujrati, Bengali, Malayalam, Telgu, Tamil and Kannada.

Brand Marketing Head of Nokia India Shefali Chhachhi said in Kolkata, "Despite varied features in the handsets, most mobile phone users in metro and emerging markets still use their handsets for voice calls and sms. This is largely due to lack of awareness among users."

"We are confident that our 'Connect' initiative would help consumers across the country improve their mobile experience by providing a user friendly guide," she added.
