The court of ACJM Satyabhama Jaiswal issued the warrant here on Monday against Mukesh Ambani and the Chhattisgarh circle head of Reliance telecom Limited, Vinod Kumar Singh.

The issue first came up for hearing in the district consumer forum when a resident of Raipur, Parasmal Choudiya, filed a case complaining that as a mobile subscriber of Reliance he was consistently getting monthly bills two to three times higher than the actual.

According to his counsel Diwaker Sinha, the company did not entertain the series of complaints by his client Choudiya for several months and the company, when dragged to district consumer forum, claimed that the subscriber has shifted to other plan structure by producing the forged evidence.

“Prima facie, the district consumer forum found the matter pertaining to cheating and asked the case to be taken to the civil court for hearing”, said Sinha.

The court of ACJM, while hearing the case on January 13, registered a criminal offence case against Mukesh Ambani and Vinod Kumar Singh and today issued a non-bailable warrant against them.
