With the Centre claiming that the matter of President’s Rule in Uttarakhand cannot be discussed in the second part of the Parliament Budget Session as it is “sub-judice”, the Shiv Sena on Monday said that there in nothing wrong in Congress demanding a discussion on the contentious issue.

“If you don’t allow the Parliament to run for a single issue, the people of this country will not support you and your cause. The Shiv Sena, like the Congress, is of the view that the chief minister should be allowed to prove the majority in the assembly. So, if the Congress Party is willing to have a discussion on the Uttarakhand issue in the Parliament Session then there should be discussion on that,” Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut told ANI.

With the government claiming that the matter is sub-judice and, therefore, it cannot be deliberated upon, Raut said, “Uttarakhand matter is sub-judice. But it is political too. In our country, every political matter turns into a sub-judice matter all of a sudden.”

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan held an all party meeting to ensure smooth functioning of Parliament on Sunday.
