The civic body has introduced online registration system at its crematoriums. So far, the applicants need to visit the concerned office of MCG to fill up the required form for getting death certificates. Initially, Gurgaon's two crematoriums - Sukhrali and Madanpuri - will have the facility. "At Sukhrali, we have deployed two computer operators who will help people in filling up the form for death certificate. It will take hardly 15 to 20 minutes to fill 15-20 columns," MCG commissioner Sudhir Rajpal said, adding that at Madanpuri, online registration system would be operational in a week.

The MCG commissioner has asked the executive engineer and the IT department officials to work in coordination to make the facility at both the crematoriums operational at the earliest. "In the city, there are 20 crematoriums under the MCG and all will be having online registration facility sooner or later," the MCG official said.

Apart from filling online form, the applicant will have to fill up the form in hard copy and submit it at the crematorium office, said a senior MCG official.
