In order to create awareness among health workers and common masses regarding benefits of central government's flagship programme National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Ghat health block, under the supervision of Ghat block medical officer (BMO) Dr Mushtaq Ahmed Shah held a two-day awareness seminar here.
The camp was attended by all medical officers, health workers, field staff and Asha workers of Ghat block, besides local people.
Speaking on the occasion, health educator Mohammad Shafi Attu highlighted the aims and objectives of NRHM and its components. He stressed upon the care and assistance provided to pregnant mothers and new-born under NRHM, and urged Asha workers and other field staff to ensure the availability of these services.
Dr Shah said NRHM is a vital programme hqaving provided succor to upgrade health infrastructure in the state. He hoped with the same efforts of doctors, paramedical staff and Asha workers; the health department will touch new heights of success.
