Sixty five-year-old Halder, originally from Kolkata, could be sentenced to death on this aggravated murder conviction.

He went to the university's business school with more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition because he thought a computer centre employee had hacked into his website that was intended to help fellow Indians start businesses. Besides killing Norman Wallace, the shooting left two others wounded.

Earlier this week, the Judge presiding over the case in the Cuyahoga Common Pleas Court threw out the terrorism charge. The murder charge against Halder carried numerous specifications that the Jury agreed with particularly that he attempted to commit mass murder of faculty members and police officers who came to the scene of the shooting.

Halder was also convicted of killing Wallace while committing aggravated burglary and kidnapping.

Halder is said to have sat impassively as the verdicts were read by the judge to nearly 200 felony counts including murder. The jury in the trial just deliberated for over a day before turning in the verdicts.
