The other three films are Take Three Girls, Exitz and American Day Light, Dhondy told the agency on Saturday night, adding, "I expect Red Mercury and Aamir Khan-starrer The Rising to do extremely well at the Cannes."

"Red Mercury, a contemporary film presented by London-based 'Inspired Movies', is a thought-provoking exploration of the age of anxiety we live in, in the wake of the 9/11 attack" on America, Dhondy said.

He said it is a pacy, topical and controversial look at the reality behind the threat, as seen through the eyes of three confused, scared, young British Muslim men.

Though it was purely an imaginative plot in which the three youngsters make a frantic bid to acquire Red Mercury, a chemical required for producing a nuclear bomb, UK's "anti- terrorist" police approached Executive Producer Peter Ansorge to find out how we came to know about the plot," Dhondy said.

Meenu Bachan, Execuive Producer of Inspired Movies, described Red Mercury as "one of the most controversial terrorist-linked political thrillers".

She said Red Mercury was produced by a cross-cultural team. Its technicians were from India, management from Britain and its sales were handled by Americans.
