NSG commando kills self with service gun

A 38-year-old commando of the National Security Guard (NSG) killed himself with his service weapon at Manesar unit on Thursday, police said.

A 38-year-old commando of the National Security Guard (NSG) killed himself with his service weapon at Manesar unit on Thursday, police said.

According to police, Surender, who was a resident of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, had been posted at Manesar. His wife and a son who lived in Hoshiarpur were scheduled to meet him in Manesar on Friday.

“Surender shot himself with his service weapon. He has not left any suicide note,” a police officer said, adding that a case has been registered after NSG officials informed the police about the incident. Further investigations are on.
