THE LOCAL unit of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) held a demonstration at the Government Hamidia College. They burnt the effigy of the principal in protest against the non-availability of facilities for the students of computer courses.

State secretary Ubhay Kushal Tiwari led the demonstration. The NSUI has said that there is no arrangement of computers or books for the students and the entire course is only conducted by four teachers and three lab assistants although fees between Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 is charged from the students.
The Unit has warned of intensifying the agitation if their demands are not met.
