Speaker Somnath Chatterjee initially adjourned the house for half hour till 11.30 am after the protesting MPs disrupted question hour over their demand for a JPC to address their concerns on the controversial deal. He then had to adjourn the house till 3 pm when the trouble persisted.

The opposition MPs also voiced their differences with the United Progressive Alliance (UPA)-Left panel set up late on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the speaker congratulated scientists on the successful takeoff of the satellite launch vehicle GSLV FO4 and greeted teachers across the country on the occasion of Teacher's Day.
