Russian police have detained a nude man suspected of robbing women in a Moscow park.
The man, who preferred to work naked, attacked solitary women or those accompanied by children and proceeded to snatch their bags from them, Interfax news agency reported.
The mugger, an ethnic Kyrgyz, approached women walking in the capital's Bitzevsky Park, and many of them were so shocked at the sight of the naked man that they would put up no resistance when he reached for their bags, it said.
After a series of complaints from women, local police were quick to react on Sunday when they received a phone call about a naked man walking in the park.
A police unit set off immediately for the park and detained the man, who was carrying his clothes in a bag. The detained man, however, said he was forced to undress by the police.
