Nuke-capable Agni IV successfully test-fired

The surface-to-surface missile, which was tested for its full range of operations from a mobile launcher, has been developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

“It has met all the mission requirements,” declared MVKV Prasad, director of Integrated Test Range (ITR) of DRDO, afterwards.

The last test of this missile, which is lighter than Agni III, was carried out on September 19, 2013. The 20-metre tall Agni IV weighs 17 tonne and can carry 1,000-kg warhead.
