The cost that amounted to € 56 million has brought some innovative changes in the stadium. Designed with eco-friendly measures, it has a gigantic rainwater collection system to water the ground when required.

The Nuremberg stadium also incorporates an environment optimization scheme to make use of limited resources.

Earlier famous as the Municipal Stadium, Frankenstadion will serve host to England in the group matches.
