Nurses told to be like Florence Nightingale

'Graduation Ceremony' of the final year nursing students of the 12th batch and the 'Capping and Lighting of Lamp Ceremony' of the 16th batch was celebrated at the Nazareth Hospital's School of Nursing here on Sunday.

'Graduation Ceremony' of the final year nursing students of the 12th batch and the 'Capping and Lighting of Lamp Ceremony' of the 16th batch was celebrated at the Nazareth Hospital's School of Nursing here on Sunday.

Chief guest Rt Rev Bishop Isidore Fernandes blessed the 'Cap' and delivered pledge to 25 first year nursing students. He also gave away certificates to 25 final year nursing students.

On the occasion the Bishop asked the nursing school students to walk on the footsteps of Florence Nightingale. He said the main motto of this hospital is to serve and not to be served. For last 30 years the Nazareth Hospital is serving the people of Allahabad. It has enhanced its facilities to provide best medical and health care services, he said. Rev Sr Preema CSN Principal also expressed her views on the occasion. Msgr Alex PD Souza gave prizes to the nursing school students.

The programme started with the prayer dance by Remya and Shalu. Nazareth Hospital Director Rev Father KK Antony gave welcome address. Nursing school third year students presented felicitation song.
